THE BLOOD OF THE COVEN

It's 1998 and in the small town of Westcreek, it's easy to believe nothing interesting at all ever happens. Everyone seems to know their neighbors, their kids go to school together and they leave their doors unlocked at night. Absolutely nothing wrong could ever happen. Isn't that right?

But it's really just a matter of perspective. If you walked down to the south edge of town, where the woods bleed in toward the trailer parks, where the run down motel greets the sunset on the transport road... you'd get a very different first impression of Westcreek. Coyotes howl in the night - and so do a lot of other, bigger things. It's in those very woods that a small group of teens changed the trajectory of their lives forever just last summer.

It was supposed to be productive magic - fueled by each party's different want or need. Vengeance, acceptance, forgiveness, excitement - whatever they poured into their spell poured back into them, reading their very souls. The seven of them were all granted stronger abilities, and they all wear a sigil of their corresponding sign somewhere on their bodies - aligned with that of one of the "seven deadly sins": wrath, pride, lust, sloth, gluttony, envy and greed.

These sigils have their own residual effects, seen to be "in balance" for the gifts bestowed upon the wearer. There's ways to remove them but - who would want to do that, right?
